Although Beetlejuice hoped to wed Lydia Deetz among the sand snakes, sculptures of questionable taste, and some quality calypso, his plan was ultimately foiled. Instead, a newly ordained Beetlejuice renewed the vows of six lucky couples and performed a real wedding for super fans Luis and Ryoko.
Besides acting as wedding witnesses, guests enjoyed a screening of the film, music by Stason Bobo and Sean Dack, live performances from our cast of characters, aerial delights from House of Yes, a life-sized Betelgeuse tombstone from Tom Spina Designs, an accompanying photo booth from Shoot Booth, a limited-edition event poster from The Pixel Society, a live painting installation by Adriano Moraes, and more.
A portion of ticket proceeds benefited the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, an organization working within the media and entertainment industry that helps educate and influence the need for more gender balance and diverse female characters in entertainment.
